Public School Havelock

A good view of the outside school building with children and teacher assembled. Initially schooling in Havelock was in the old Courthouse building from the 16th February 1866 with the first teacher being Henry J.M. Hawke. Havelock School also educated two internationally important scientists, Ernest Rutherford and William Pickering.
