A view of Lucknow Street looking North. Mail & Passenger Coach in centre of the street, an almost certainty to be a Newman Bros Coach as they were operating a passenger freight service from approx. 1887/88 and combined that with a mail contract service from approx. 1904. The driver also appears to be sitting "high" which was a trait attributed to Tom Newman. Havelock was named after Sir Henry Havelock known from the Siege of Lucknow during the Indian Rebellion of 1857. The streets were laid out in 1858, with the main street being Lucknow Street.
